I thought about that too.....when I was five (and my cousin about eight years older) we were diagnosed
with polio....symptoms started in Keuneonga Lake (Catskills) so they blamed the water....mine was
so mild - couldn't walk - P.T. in the flatiron building on the Grand Concourse...my cousin, Sister Kenny
treatment in Bellvue Hospital.

My school was closed due to the polio scare - Macomb's JHS 82
