My sister and I were placed in a home run by nuns 1964-65 in NYC, possibly E.40's? My parents were having marriage difficulties. All of my family is deceased except for one relative, and she does not recall the name of the place. I've searched online countless times thinking it would be easy to find. Not so. We lived in the Bronx at the time (Woodycrest ave) I was 4/5 sister 18 mos younger. It was a creepy time in our lives. Thankfully, we all resumed our family life a year or so after being placed there and it was a good life together. It's just a sore spot for me and I'd like to know. Strangers would come and take you out for the day or a weekend. extremely creepy and thankfully, were treated ok. Would appreciate any help anyone could provided. Thank you.
