Thanks for your response Sammy, I don't post too often but when I do, I sometimes tend to include a lot of detail.

Sam's candy store also had four phone booths that were in the front facing Anthony Avenue. Before my parents got a phone in our house, they went to Sam's if they had to make a call. I think it was in the mid 1940s when we got one. Our number was LUdlow 3-4530. It was a "party line" so, if someone else was on we had to wait until they were done to make a call.

Well, there I go again ! (lol).
