You are correct, Steve. The 161st Street station of the "D" train Concourse line is located underneath 161st Street between Walton Avenue on the east and River Avenue/Yankee Stadium on the west. During the 1940s and early 50s, we always used the Walton Avenue exit to get to our family doctor whose office was located on Walton Avenue and 162nd Street, opposite Joyce Kilmer Park. The first and last stations (161st Street and 205th Street) of the "D" train Concourse line are not on the Concourse!
