The only wild ones I can recall were Sparrows and Pigeons. Maybe that was because there was not one tree on my block and the surrounding blocks (Tremont Ave/Southern Blvd neighborhood). Of course there were the exotic birds in the cages of the Bronx zoo and pet parakeets in a cage in the family apartment. A few years ago I read about Parrots showing up as residence in the Bronx???

Which wild birds do you recall??
