I am not at all a maven but this is what I have observed....Orthodox is strict in that it is very observant from food (Kosher) to every holiday, big or small; it restricts dress code (especially for woment), dictates certain rules at certain life events or occasions (Sabbath, mourning, wedding, birth, etc.) and has all of its services/prayers in Hebrew. I do not know much about Conservative but is a bit more lenient than Orthodox. Reformed, on the other hand, is very lenient with fewer, if any, restrictions. Services are in English; no dress or food restrictions, Holidays are observed but, again, less strictly. That is my understanding in brief. Hope some other(s) will either correct or add to what I have said.
