For me, it is purely emotional. I want to feel and experience what I felt and experienced back in the Bronx. It could be the aunts, uncles & cousins living in the same bldg. or having my friends live just an apt. or a block or two away. It could be the that lamppost on the corner of the street where all your friends gathered night after night. It could be the values that we all shared. It could be the warmth in the old and cold apts. To this day, I need a small living room. I can admire big but I do not want it in my home. I want everyone close together. In other words, while most of us were economically poor we were rich in our relationships and emotional security. I think many of us try to recreate much of what we had then in our lives now. And, I am guessing that what we cannot recreate, we try to keep alive on this site.
