There were two high schools which were designated for my Allerton neighborhood: Christopher Columbus and Evander Childs. I would have gone to Columbus had I not been accepted for admission to Music and Art H.S. in Manhattan. Any other Bronx Boarders out there who went to Music and Art? I graduated M&A in 1956.
