I lived on the top floors of two apartment buildings in The Bronx. From 1952 to 1955, my building was 2080 Barnes Avenue near the corner of Brady Avenue, in the Pelham Parkway section. It was a new building with an elevator. We lived on the 6th floor. From our kitchen window, we had a SPECTACULAR southeast view of The Bronx which included the entire Parkchester skyline! In 1965, my wife and I, as newlyweds, moved into a brand new high rise apartment building called "Orloff Towers" at 3900 Bailey Avenue in Kingsbridge. We lived on the 19th floor and could see all the way to the southwest, which included a great view of the Manhattan tower of the George Washington Bridge from our terrace. We lived there until 1969 when we moved to our present home on Long Island following the birth of our older son.
