Hi, Alvin!

I don`t remember which years those roads opened but I would guess that there may be slightly more Bronxites than non-Bronxites who use the Major Deegan and Bruckner Expressways because both roads form a BELT starting from the Thruway at the Yonkers line, then going south to where it curves around Mott Haven and then heading north and east towards the New England Thruway and Co-op City. Since there are so many Bronx exits and entrances along this continuous route, I don`t think we could call it a BEELINE. The Cross-Bronx Expressway qualifies much more as a BEELINE.
