Who from the Bronx used the Railroad and why would they use it when they had all the subways and busses in the world? Wasn't the Railroad used mainly by people from Westchester and Connecticut (e.g. Yonkers)?

I lived a few blocks from the Tremont Ave and Park Ave station and didn't know much about the railroad. Nobody I knew ever used it. It seems to me that the railroad was a BEELINE for people living outside the Bronx and going to Manhattan? Am I wrong?

How many Railroad stations were/are there in the Bronx? You might want to ask if anyone from the Bronx ever actually got onto the Railroad from one of those stations?
