Vinnie, Arthur Ave was only for Italians when I was young, same as 204th, another Italian enclave. At De Witt C, they had the east side parking lot to themselves, most were from Pelham and 204th. I never had any problems with them. In fact, I married an Italian girl who lived on the corner of 187th and Arthur. The Italians kept the area from going down hill. WPR and Burke was ruled by Biaggi. Safe area at one time.
