, Temple Adath Israel was recognized relatively quickly by many. Located on 169th Street and the Concourse, the imposing structure was built in 1927 to house a congregation that had grown steadily since its formation in 1896.')){kind=link}

The building itself has not changed significantly in almost 70 years. For those who were interested for one reason or another in the car on Webster Avenue to the right of the building, it\'s a Chrysler PT Cruiser.
