The Bronx was full of beautiful Tudor-style apartment buildings. The clue suggests this building was very visible, meaning it was next to a highway or transit line, so probably not the Amalgamated area. My guess is the Botanical Square Apartment complex between Webster Ave. and the New York Central tracks just north of Bedford Park Blvd. It also was very visible to riders on the former 3rd Ave. El.
