With the soccer final taking place so close to the Bronx and so much in the news, I was wondering. Did anyone ever play soccer growing up in the Bronx? It was definitely not a thing in the early 60s in the Reservoir Oval area where I grew up. Baseball and basketball, yes. Soccer, no.
