I didn't live there in 1964 but an usual thing went one day in 1964 on the corner of Westcheter and Eagle. I just parked my car and was walking across the street to a store on business for an insurance company I worked for. I hear "get down", "get out of the way". I look to my left and there's a guy running away from a cop coming towards me. I jump out of the way and walk in the opposite direction. It seems a guy had just robbed the check cashing business next dor to where I was headed. I never learned or heard anything more about it. Nothing in paper or on the news. My life went on.
