I think it was on Feb 2, 1961 - I started snowing the night before-- we were on the bus that barely mde it going up a hill. The next morning a deep blanket of snow covered the ground and trucks were stopped onPelham Parkway.Momwated to go to a church on Fordham Road (Our Lady of Lourdes??) -- we went with her for the adventure- a mail truck picked us up and we sat on the mail sacks in the back-- we made it to church just in time to see a groom carring his bride over the threshold. The wedding had about 10 people in attendance. Then we walked home. The trucks were stalled on Pelham Parkway for about 3 days -- I don't think that happens today -- or does it??
