Posted by John S on Sunday, January 25th 2026: When the river would freeze,us kids would play A game of chicken.Who could creep out the furthest on the ice.Well I punked out at about 3 feet before giving up after the crack noise came on.Over my hang out years ,I heard of 2 deaths involving kids going down in the river due to thin ice.No phones,cell or otherwise around ,didn't help matters.Did you try?
