Many, many years ago, before they redid the terrace area,I got married at the Snuff Mill. We said our vows under a beautiful tree on one side of the terrace with the river flowing by. It was lovely. It was also pouring down rain!. They had set up a canopy on the other side over the cocktail hour, or what I call the pre food food that was supposed to happen before we went upstairs to the full reception area. It rained so hard that the canopy began to sag. Workers came with poles to try to push the canopy back up and the water off. It was very soggy. But made for a story that lasts forever. (as has the marriage - at least so far)
