For displaced, misplaced, and nostalgic ex-Bronxites

It was surrounded by dense woods, and really looked the part. Kids used to cross themselves when walking past on their way to Immaculate Conception School, a few blocks away. In 1963, it was torn down and replaced by a high-rise co-op called Oak Towers. And at age 13, to my great surprise, we moved there! Reference ID: BX93075 Responses:
