Hi, Alvin!

I grew up on Cruger Avenue in the Allerton Avenue/White Plains Road neighborhood. In fact, Cruger Avenue is VERY far away from the Pelham Bay area, as it is ALWAYS just one block parallel to White Plains Road. It stretches north to south from Magenta Street in Williamsbridge to where it goes through the Pelham Parkway section (not Pelham Bay) before it merges with WPR in Morris Park.

There are many apartment buildings on Cruger Avenue, especially immediately south of Pelham Parkway all the way to Bronxdale Avenue, that may or may not have sunken living rooms. Do you remember the building (or address) where your relatives lived?

Welcome back!
Sammy
