Barbara Ann by the Regents. 1961. "Bar-Bar-Bar Bar-Barbara Ann" by The Regents. These guys came from the Bronx. Guy Villari, Sal Cuomo (saxophone), Chuck Fassert (wrote the song in '58), Don Jacobucci, and Tony Gravanga (bass guitar I believe). That song sounded great reverberating throughout the hallways and on the corner of Gleason and Pugsley Aves. during that time. Every time I hear it takes me back to when WABC Music-radio 77 was #1. What a great song. Much better in my opinion, than the Beach Boys version.
