Hi Sammy. As is often the case the "clues" are often a mystery themselves. Both the botanical gardens and zoo are over 100 years old and both are world famous. But which one took a half century to become famous? That would be maybe the 1940 to 1950 time frame. But it's always a fun challenge. I always call the botanical garden as the Bronx, not New York. There is also a botanic garden in Brooklyn. In th early 60's I took a test applying for a job that required some geographical knowledge of New York City. One question was what borough was the botanical garden located in. Of course being a Bronxite I answered the Bronx. They said the correct answer was Brooklyn, so I always call it the Bronx botanical garden.
