July 4, 1962. Burke Avenue between Wallace and Holland Avenues. A few Wanderers were "incentivized" to settle a score with a couple of the hapless store owners. Cherry bombs against the windows. M80s thrown in for good measure. And a few real garbage cans hurled through the plate glass as well. A little looting, and for reasons unknown to most, absolutely no police presence. Message delivered.
