Ed... I just returned this evening from a family dinner visit where I mentioned your desire to build a replica of your apartment and to find the design plans of pre-war buildings. My college grandson who has a keen interest in studying urban infrastructure told me to let you know that there is a website called ACRIS ("Automated City Register Information System") which might be of help to you. Also, as Ellery (above) has mentioned, you could call NYC Building Department to request the blueprints of your building. Again, good luck, Ed, with your search and let us know if and when you get results.
