Which Crossroads Identified Your Neighborhood?

Whenever I would meet for the very first time, a former fellow Bronxite who would ask me, "WHERE in The Bronx did you grow up?", I would always respond by saying "Allerton Avenue/White Plains Road" followed by "Cruger Avenue". That was my neighborhood! Although my section of The Bronx was Williamsbridge, I never felt the need to mention it even though that is where I lived.

Do you also identify more with your neighborhood`s main crossroads rather than the actual section where you lived? If so, what were those crossroads?
