Thanks, Misterl, for letting me know about the mulitple arches of the Nereid Avenue bridge/overpass. That certainly rules out my guess! What is funny is that I JUST learned that the bridge turned 90 years old yesterday (it opened on April 23, 1931). During the summers of the late 1940s and early 50s, I used to ride on the bus across that very long Nereid Avenue Bridge to Tibbets Brook Pool in Yonkers. The bus left from the 238th Street/Nereid Avenue elevated subway station at White Plains Road. I took the uptown train to Nereid Avenue from my home station of Allerton Avenue. Great memories!
