Hi everybody. I played bass guitar in a band around 1967-68. We rehearsed in the organ player Charlie's (Chez) parents' restaurant on Third Ave. just north of E. 183rd St. His Mom was Clara and she fed us all the time. I don't remember Charlie's last name or name of restaurant. The drummer was Tony from E. 187th St. and guitar player was Larry from Mapes Ave. Last names I don't have --was 15 years old....Does anybody viewing here remember the restaurant or the guys that played in the band? We knew other musicians from 187th Street like Tex and Vinny, who played a Hoffner bass. And Neil Martucelli, (R.I.P.), drums and Gene Chamulera, bass guitar, and Ceasar (real name Amondo), also R.I.P. who was brilliant guitar player. I would appreciate any info regarding the possible whereabouts of Charlie, Tony or Larry, and name of restaurant.
I know it's a long shot...Thanks so much!! Stay well! Michael Golden (still in the Bronx).
