My Confirmation was at St. Thomas Lutheran Church on the corner of East 175th Street and Topping Avenue in May, 1953. There were 5 girls and 2 boys in the class. My friend Jimmy B, now lives in upstate N.Y. and we still keep in touch. The church building is still there, now 112 years old and with a different denomination.
