Why do defensive, Miltone? No sarcasm or judgement intended. Just pointing out the obvious: the passage of time inevitably alters places, people . . . and yes, even our memories. However, instead of focusing on the way today's Bronx is different from yesterday's, it might be instructive to think about the way some things remain basically the same. The borough is still home to thousands of aspirational families whose hopes for their children are not so dissimilar to what our forebears wanted for us: a better life. We, the old timers, might have more in common with the current residents of the Bronx than one might think.
