I did spend a day on the street I grew up on, Gleason Ave, about 10 years ago. When I was taking a picture of my old home, someone asked why are you doing that ? I told him my grandfather bought that house in 1920 and we lived there for about 50 years. She was a friendly lady. The house looked great. I wanted to see the insides but nobody was home. The neighborhood seemed more crowded with cars and all parking spots were gone. Back then we had no problems parking. Driving around the area I found not one Bar. Back then there were almost 2 bars to every street along Castle Hill. We also drove past Mayflower ave where I lived before we moved to NM. Last, we saw my old apartment house at 197 st & Claflin. I only spent 2 years there 1971-1973.
