Hi Sammy.It was my mind picture.Plus that comment "It's wilder now". That park is a tough place. Many "project" gangs hang there.After I posted that,I looked harder at BB photo. When I saw the cannon,my mind put it together.The short fence is what through me,in my time it had no fence. In the early 60s ,the tombs were broken into,the large bronze Soldier was stolen,the placer really run down.And this was before the Bronx "changed".I've placed photos that were miles from my Apt. house. So forgetting a place 3blocks from where i lived hurt.Hell ,there was an abandon house right across the street on 180.We kids loved playing in.Later a gas station took the lot. In those days,I saw ,many abandon homes,I still wonder why they were abandoned. Stay well
