You're right, Sammy.

This inscription is on the Dollar Savings Bank on the Grand Concourse just north of Fordham Road. The clock tower was easily seen by all who frequented the busy shopping area along Fordham Road.

My parents opened a savings account for me in 1940 and I had it there for 30 years when I moved to New Jersey. The building still stands and when I returned to the Bronx for a visit in 2003, it was now the Emigrant Savings Bank. The interior was the same with the huge murals along the walls. My friends wanted to take some pictures but, were stopped by the guard.
