Well sadly most of all my friends are gone. Either died or moved away and others we lost touch with for various reasons.
My best friend who grew up on Haviland Ave died at age 51 back in 2004. I was friends with him since the second grade. His wife (my wife's best friend at the time) died at age 42 back in 1999 of heart failure a week before Christmas. We always joked that after we all retired we would buy houses across the street from each other in Las Vegas (Summerlin).
My wife and I are godparents to their younger son who is now 33.
Enjoy life now. Stay safe my fellow Bronxites.
