Hi, Ed!

How lucky you were to have the Jerome Avenue/#4 subway as your "home" train! Our family doctor during the 1940s had his office on Walton Avenue, slightly north of 161st Street. His station was 161st Street. We had to take the White Plains Road/241st Street/Lexington Avenue line from Allerton Avenue down to 149th Street/Grand Concourse where we changed for the Jerome Avenue/Woodlawn uptown train one stop to 161st Street. I was about three or four years old when I saw Yankee Stadium for the first time after the train got out of the tunnel going toward the 161st Street station. Even at that early age, I was impressed with the view!
Best regards...and stay well and safe!
Sammy
