We celebrated Hannukah (spelling varies many times over)....and for eight days my sister and I would
find gifts on the kitchen table. They were mostly from Santa Claus but you still had to thank
our aunt, uncle grandparents.....ha...ha.... yes, we got underwear and socks and pj's...but there
was always something special.

Christmas.....I love the lights, the singing, the special events, even the choirs (I go to midnight mass
even though the sermon is not of interest to me.....and now, living up here, the town is all decorated,
many, many, many lights....just had a Dutch parade called Sinterklass with bands and puppets that
look like the ones from the village halloween parade.
