Did You Have A Sun Parlor In Your Bronx Home?

I grew up in a brick two-family house on Cruger Avenue that had sun parlors on each floor facing the front of the house. The house was brand new in 1924 when my grandparents moved into it. I have seen so many "look alike" two-family houses in many neighborhoods throughout The Bronx that apparently were also built during the 1920s during the same time frame as my house. There were also driveways with side entrances between the houses. Our sun parlor was used as my bedroom and, as a small child, I couldn`t have been happier because very often, since it faced east, I had all the morning sunshine to wake up to!

If you lived in a house similar to mine, do you have any memories of growing up with a sun parlor in your home? Where was it located? Any memories to share?
