Thank you for sharing your wonderful memories with us. I lost my best Bronx childhood friend in 2004 at age 61...also because of smoking. I lived on 195th & Sedgwick Ave. and she on 195th & Webb Ave. We would walk to and from Walton H.S. daily. She enjoyed bagels and lox at my house and I trimmed the Xmas tree at hers. Her loss also left an unfillable void. But, luckily the memories of the friendships we made while growing up in the Bronx will take us through the rest of our lifetime. By the way, you mentioned Dr. Goldberg....Was that Dr. Moe Goldberg?ed
