Some have said the Concourse was the dividing line between east and west...I grew up being told it was
Jerome Avenue.....
I think wherever we grew up is the side we prefer. I loved the West side of the Bronx....I loved that we
had stoops and Kingsland Hill, and Snake Hill and so many places to skate...and the bus to
Orchard Beach....we walked to Alexander's (stopping first at Krum's)! It breaks my heart that the
double building on West Tremont was razed....absolutely no one has a photo of what the courts
looked like and of course, I thought it would also be there. I have to be satisfied with the tax photo
of the outside of the building
