Alvin:You triggered this memory: In 1935 The Chicago Cubs played the Detroit Tigers in the World Series. Across from where I lived on 137th St. at street level lived Sam The Radio Man. At the time Sam fixed radios and also lived there. He drew a baseball diamond on his street window, marked the positions and listed the names of the players in a white substance probably Bon Ami. He had a small red ball and followed every pitch, twirling the red ball around at the mound, following a hit ball to short, showing the throw to first for the out. As a kid I chose sides picking Detroit and they won. He drew a nice crowd on the street. It was better than present day TV!
