Your comment stirred up a long forgotten memory of strolling violin players in our neighborhood, out in the quiet hinterlands of Castle Hill Avenue, during the l930's. I was just a kid and never spoke to any of them, but they were a most unusual and pleasant happening at the time. I recall also there were what we called "ragmen" in their horse and wagon seeking out clothes, rags and papers. It was the l930's and things were really tight for many of us.
