I had three different home stations on the White Plains Road/241st Street (now the #2) subway line: the Allerton Avenue station (until 1952) when I lived on Cruger Avenue, the Pelham Parkway and Bronx Park East stations (from 1952 until 1955) when I lived on Barnes and Brady Avenues which was equally distant to and from both stations. I also occasionally used the Morris Park station of the Dyre Avenue (now the #5) line which was about a five block walk from my home on Barnes Avenue.
