I remember the vegetable horse drawn wagon on Boone Ave between West Farms Road and Freeman St. Prices were drawn in large numbers on large brown paper bags that were over a stick. A few of us would hang on the rear of the wagon, feet hooked on the underside and get a short ride.
As a bonus, the "fertilizer" that the horse occasionally left was scooped up by people for their gardens.
