I often visited my maternal grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins who all lived together in the same private house on Carpenter Avenue at the foot of East 227th Street in Wakefield, about two miles north of my home on Cruger Avenue in Williamsbridge. Likewise, I visited my paternal grandmother who was a resident of the Daughters of Jacob Home on 167th Street and Findlay Avenue, a few blocks east of the Concourse. Where in The Bronx did your extended family live, Alvin?
