Hi Paul!

During the 1940s, my parents and I always took the White Plains Road/241st Street subway two stops from Allerton Avenue to Gun Hill Road where I would get on the 3rd Avenue El going downtown to the 166th Street station. We would then walk to 167th Street and Findlay Avenue where my grandmother was a resident of the Home of the Daughters of Jacob. I have wonderful memories of my visits to her and also enjoying the ride on the 3rd Avenue El to and from Gun Hill Road.
Many thanks, Paul, for responding. It brought back a great memory for me!

Best regards,
Sammy
