Was Your Home Station The End Of The Line?

For most of us who rode the subway, our home stations were located either slightly south or well south of the six following last stops of The Bronx`s subway lines: The West 242nd Street/Broadway station, the Woodlawn/Jerome Avenue station, the 205th Street/Concourse "D" train station, the 241st Street/White Plains Road station, the Dyre Avenue station and the Pelham Bay Park station. My home station during my growing up years was Allerton Avenue which is seven stops south of the end of the line at 241st Street.

If your station was the last stop, which would also be the start of your trip, you never had to worry about getting a seat!
