1965 Blackout

Posted by Marble Hill Projects Bldg #11 on Wednesday, April 19th 2017:

I remember this blackout. I remember my school was closed the following day, but was open the day after. I was attending Power Memorial. I walked from Marble Hill projects up to the Henry Hudson Parkway to hitch a ride down. Less than 5 minutes, a gentlemen picked me up in his Cadillac and dropped me off at 57th Street. How did you get to work or school back then.
