Walter Murray and I attended the same grammar school but I before his time. I agree 100% with his comments. I was there in the 1930's. In the late 1960's I ran into one of the brothers who taught us in Wash. D.C. We had supper together and spent the evening covering old times. He said when they hit one of us they were afraid they would get hit back because the South Bronx area was so tough. He was a wonderful teacher and brought me up to date on the kids of my time telling me so and so was a judge, a lawyer, etc. The LaSalle Christian Brothers will live in my memory forever.
