I'm pretty sure we had the calendar page. That might have been the reason she cracked me one. I never worked on her garden at home but do remember going to her house once on University. Did you know Mike Schwartz at 91? Our apartment buildings were next to each other. I lived at the corner of 180 and Harrison from '57-'61 ages 7-11. I think you might be a few years older then me. Evelyn was certainly one of those teachers that you don't forget. Can't remember for sure what we did on the 91 garden but I do remember something with pumpkin or sunflower seeds being grown in those small milk containers and then transplanted in her garden of Eden. We do plant a garden every summer here but has nothing to do with the fond memories of her garden. One weekend I climbed over the fence to get a ball that was hit into the garden. Someone told her I did that and she went ballistic - "the memories of elementary school".
