You are correct, Lou. In fact, the Bronx Park East station first opened in 1917, very possibly before the apartment houses on Bronx Park East, stretching from Unionport Road/ Bronxdale Avenue to Pelham Parkway, were built. STILL, there may not have been a Bronx Park East station and/or subway tracks at that location if the "approved" elevated tracks were to continue north on Boston Road going right through Bronx Park from the 180th Street (Bronx Zoo station) to a "different" Pelham Parkway station where it would meet and turn onto White Plains Road.

Thanks for responding!
